Maharana Pratap is one of the most prominent brave warriors Indian History ever had. Growing up we all must have come across his story and a poem on his braveheart loyal horse “Chetak”. He was the 13th king of Mewar, Rajasthan.
He was a valor Rajput born to Udai Singh II and Jaiwanta Bai. Maharana Pratap had three younger brothers named Shakti Singh, Vikram Singh and Jagmal Singh along with 2 stepsisters.
Despite the fact, that he lost the war of Haldighati against Akbar’s vast army. He is still celebrated for his bravery. He was never captured by the Mughal king, owing to his loyal horse “Chetak”. Thus, leaving the war futile for the Mughal king.
He was 7.5 feet tall, weighed 110Kg.
His spear and armor weighed 80Kg each.
He fought the Haldighati war with an army of just 1500 men against 85000 Mughal’s army.
His biggest enemy “Akbar” cried on his demise.
He died at the age of 56.
On his Birthday, we salute him for his bravery. In the time of corona, we all need to share his spirit to overcome the fear together. After all, we all are warriors staying at home and maintaining social distancing.
