What is the feeling of seeing a superhero in movies? Someone who wears a costume, with a mask, with extraordinary powers that can defeat perplexing villains in a charismatic Battle. But, what is to be a Superhero in real life?
A six-year-old boy from Wyoming, United States, is being hailed for his brave move after his family said he was attacked by a Dog while saving her younger sister.
The 6-year-old, Bridger Walker, put his life in danger by jumping in front of his sister to protect her from a dog last week. The dog seemed to be charging at his younger sister, according to his aunt, Nikki Walker, on Instagram.
Despite getting bitten several times on his cheek by the pooch, Walker did not leave his sister’s hand and brought her to safety, his aunt said.
He then told his aunt that if anyone should die, he thought it should have been him.
Bridger went through 90 stitches after the attack on his left cheek. The aunt went on to share his series of events in hopes of it reaching out to his favorite on-screen heroes for additional encouragement, which included actors Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman, and Vin Diesel.
Soon after that in a recent press time, Chris Evans, Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo and Brie Larson with Hugh Jackman(Wolverine), the DC actors Zachary Levi(Shazam!), Robbie Amell(The Flash), The Russo Brothers and Anne Hathaway(The Dark Knight Rises), all of them reached out to Bridger Walker.
Evans even went ahead with a promising video response and also mentioned he would be sending Bridger the real Captain America Shield as a gift:
The World Boxing Council, whose ‘regular’ champion is, of course, Tyson Fury, has awarded the special child status.
Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway addressed this young kid over Instagram:
Mark Ruffalo also went ahead and conveyed his message to Bridger Walker:
It is always extraordinary to see these actors from superhero movies stepping up in situations like this. To encourage, it’s the kindness gesture one can perform. Chris Evans, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Robert Downey Jr., and many others ave visited kids in the hospital over the years and sometimes in their superhero costumes as well. And we can only imagine what this kind of gesture means to children whose futures are often uncertain.
Bridger walker is keeping well, and the stitches seem to have started healing, his aunt informed.
We can only pray for his faster recovery and can praise him for his noteworthy act towards his younger sister. This also shows the intensifying bond siblings have—the bond of a brother and sister. Let’s celebrate such relationships in the coming Rakshabandhan!
