Nepometer will rate movies based on whether it has people from the filmy background or the people who have no connections in the industry. Vishal Kirti, Sushant's brother in law, informed the public about the app in his tweet. It is devised by Mayuresh Krishna, an architect at VMware and the brother of Vishal. "If the Nepometer is high, then it's time to boycott Bollywood nepotism," makers of the app said. They further told, "the goal of this app is to provide you with a percentage meter of how nepotistic or upcoming independent movies are and send you a notification to watch the more independent film. " Nepometer inaugurated by rating Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2. The app rates Sadak 2 as 98% Nepotistic. How does Nepometer work? Nepometer will calculate the amount of nepotism in the movie based on five categories- producer, director, writer, lead actors, and supporting actors. Owing to the coronavirus crisis, the makers of Sadak 2 have decided to launch the movie on the OTT platform. The poster of Sadak 2 is out, and it will be premiered on Disney plus Hotstar. Gulshan Grover, Jisshu Sengupta, and Makarand Deshpande are the supporting actors in the film who do not have any film family connection. Amid the ongoing dispute over nepotism, Sadak 2 is also facing controversy for its poster. A complaint was filed in Bihar against the brothers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, along with Alia Bhatt. They have been accused of hurting the sentiments of Hindus through Sadak 2 poster. The complainant Acharya Chandra Kishore Parashar finds objection with the use of the image of Kailash Mansarovar in the Sadak 2 poster. The Chief Judicial Magistrate Mukesh Kumar set July 8 as the date of hearing in the case. The filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt and actor Alia Bhatt have been booked under IPC sections 295A (deliberately outraging religious feelings) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
